Post by: skinnyhomer on December 14, 2014, 02:01:53 PM
Has anyone done this?  Is it possible?

Thank you for the pic.  The vj 22 forks I have are 6cm shorter than the original 1kt forks.  Do you have any further info on the conversion in the pic?  Looks real nice

YES but clip-on are above the triple clamp on TZR.
Fork tubes are 50mm at minimum above the triple too.

Ok it has been a long time since I posted, but this is where I am up to.

Soon it is off to have a new rear shock mounting point welded up and then hopefully I can start the reassembly.

Good stuff! Looks good.
Did you use the rgv top and bottom tripples?
What modifications did you have to do? Stem swap or just find suitable bearings?

I used the RGV triples with the stem changed.
Sadly I haven't gotten it back yet as I am towing to get it finished.
I managed to get a complete original fairing from Japan, I feel like a kid on Christmas eve, lol.
