Title: Aftermarket filters

Thinking about fitting some pod filters on the 1kt, has anybody got any experience on how they run with these fitted on standard carbs? Jetted to suit etc, mostly road use.

In a word, well two.. don't bother. The carbs really struggle to work without the airbox to help pull fuel into the airstream. Even removing the intake silencer from the airbox needs a large increase in main jet. I thin kth efact that even the YPM racers leave the airbox on speaks volumes.
