Greetings all.

What a great forum.

Decided I need a new project and hankering after a 2 stroke to relive my teenage years!

Been looking extensively at the 250 3ma as I really like to stance and look with the reverse cylinder set up

Ideally, I'm after a project, a box of parts would be ideal, so if anyone has anything then let me know

Cheers

Hi and welcome. I don't have a 3ma for sale but top marks for filling in your location  ;D, this helps loads for anyone that might have something for sale.

Welcome aboard
As with all projects try and get the most complete bike you can,  as both the 3ma and 3xv were not UK bikes you may find it harder getting any missing parts,

Hi all, looks like an interesting forum, I'm currently in the middle of a TDR rebuild but I'm looking for a TZR to keep it company (Spaces in garages need to be filled) I'm in the NW UK.

Further to my last post looks like I have managed to source an SPR in standard form.
so next on the list would be to de-restrict it.

from doing some research, mainly on here, am I right in thinking I need pipes specific to an SPR only, 3XVC.
And are the barrels, porting and crank the same as the SP, so I don't need to bother with porting etc.
Which just leaves the CDI. Which seems more of a challenge.

Cheers,
Chris

Welcome everybody (-P) :)

Bims - post up some pics in project thread or gallery (-P). Pipes are spr specific. Some use the cast iron stock flange and some do away with it and use a 3 bolt flange similar to the sugo setup. Porting and crank are the same as SP yes. Cdi wise you'll need a 7k sugo or zeeltronic. Both will disable the 2 stroke oil solenoids so you'll need to go premix; back to a mechanical pump or wire the stock cdi in tandem with the sugo/zeel. :)

Cheers Ybk. As soon as it arrives will do. Shouldn't be long now hopefully. Thanks for confirming the de-restriction info and pipe info. Yes, I read about the 2T solenoids and saw a thread where someone ran stock cdi in tandem with a sugo/zeel.
