When I was 15 or so I used to walk past a blue and yellow TZR250 and it looked so sexy. This guys bike was one of the things that got me into bikes.

Your bikes are lovely, one of each, very very jealous  :'( ;D.

Thank you for the compliment, if only I could sort out the 3ma5, I would be a happy man.

New member from New Zealand.
I was on the old TZR forum, but unsure what happened to it. It just seemed to go offline.
Joined here and currently rebuilding and improving my 3XV. I've owned 3 modified Suzuki RGVs in the past, but looking to improve on them with the TZR. Planning to convert it to a 500 in 2 or 3 years, but will enjoy it as a 250 while I source parts for that.

Small photo of bike attached. Lots of work about to happen. Looking forward to riding it around NZ when finished.
Happy to share info too and always keen to get advice from more knowledgeable people :)

Happy riding,
Murray

@ Russwel28
and are you running USD forks on that?

3MA3/4 and 5 (5 in Russwel28 case) ran usd forks as standard, only 1989 3MA1/2 used rwu forks.

Thanks for the info. It looks nice with USD forks!
I've only seen the 3MA1 and 3MA2 models in NZL.

Hi Muz_j

Glad you like them, as bobby boy said the 3ma 3 and 5 both had upside down forks, they were the later forks used on the 3xv, I think never really checked.
As far as the problems, check out my post in the 3ma section and read the whole story, seem to be getting to the bottom of the problem now, with the help of the guys on this forum, the are all true gents.
But do yourself a favour and stick with the 3xv, because the 3ma will end up ruling your bloody life, it is a true problem child, who likes spitting her dummy out of the pram every bleeding chance she gets, but saying that when she runs right for that brief moment, she is the best bike in the world to ride.

Cheers,

Russ

Hi again guys. Sorry to hear about Skip and the old forum but good to see it here, rejuvenated  :).
I managed to buy a 3MA1 recently and she is indeed proving to be a fickle mistress!

Hi Leaky...
Got a photo of your bike?
Where abouts are you? i.e. what country?

Regards,
Murray
