Looking very nice  :)

In regards to your intermittent spark, have you bypassed the side stand cut out switch ?

It's only a case of joining 2 wires together and once done it removes a cause of missing sparks

It might not be that but it's an easy fix and worth a try before you start stripping lots of bits off :)

Your bike looks fantastic, red and white definitely suits yamahas  (-P)

@theophilos13 - I wish I knew the carb was missing the part...  ?:-| ?:-| ?:-| Anyhow, it's sorted now..

@Paul8899 - The stand switch functions OK, Coil was duff, got one from Fleabay and she's sorted for spark

Thanks all for the assistance with help on here.

I set off from home this morning and she's now got Tax & test! It hasn't seen an MOT station since 1993!

She is running good, as good as to be expected. Flat spot around 7k but below and above plus very clean.

I got a little issue with hanging idle which I think it an air leak which would make it run lean, temp rose to just under 1/2 in traffic and stays on about 1/3 on the open road. It's hard to believe that it's almost done (apart from the mirrors, which are on route).

I wish I had a GoPro or something to load up some decent videos of it in action..

Nice work - damn good-lookin' bike.

Does the MOT inspection not account for mirrors?

Thanks for the comments.

Mirrors are not required here in the UK for an MOT..

Mirrors now fitted but having a few issues with the coolant and box oil mixing, almost sorted ;)

I need to get an update on the thread.. Get some of the latest images uploaded!

Well it's been a while since I've posted on here, bike is now 100% ready to ride!

Box oil is no longer mixing with coolant, various bodywork fixings replaced for period fasteners, mirrors fitted!, de-restricted (snorkles cut, exhaust rings removed and jetted to suit), leaking fuel filter sorted, some cable routing altered..

The bike is finally ready for the summer.. for anyone that seen it, I'm amazing it ran okay for the duration of the mag shoot (which was the day it was MOT'd)..

Anyhow, she is ready to be used and abused 😂
