Won't bleed
« on: December 06, 2017, 09:50:43 PM »
Can't seem to bleed my rear caliper ( newly rebuilt after powder coating)  new seals, cleaned pistons new centre seal but can't get anything,  tried using a large Shringe both to suck fluid through or push back in with no joy. Even a new pattern master cylinder didn't work, fronts bread OK using the same one way bleed kit

Crack the line on the master cylinder and get the air out of the master cylinder  first. Then open the line at the mounting on the rear caliper to get the air out. Yes pump then open n close the line like you would normally. Then once you get the air out of them it should bleed like normal.

I start with the master cylinder first then the caliper yes it's a bit messy but it works.

And start by pushing the calipers all the way in to remove the air, it's the quickest way.
Bleeding banjo bolts is the 1st and last thing you should do.

Also, fitting banjo bleed nipples helps.

All bled up OK thanks for info above,
Where can I get the correct spec bleed nipples, the rear caliper ended up with fluid running up the threads on one of the new nipples,  having looked at one of the old ones there nothing like each other around the Base of the nipple so not sealing right.
