Thank you...

Sorted now...

Now I just need to get the hinge clean and clear out the crud inside the sleeve on the one fitted to the bike... Then get the new hinge plastic welded into place.

Now its just a pity the battery box hinge has failed due to old age.. But its hidden and I am sure I can fix it in a way the repair is hidden....

Does the hinge sit in between the fairing edges when they are together or do the fairings butt up to each other?
Thanks

For info the genuine part numbers are:
Male hinge rear1KT-2195X-00
Male hinge front 1KT-2194X-00
Female hinge 8V0-2194X-00
Bracket for the rear hinge 1KT-2836G-00

None are available from yam, but they are available from the states for snow mobiles with 80L and 8V0 model prefixes but the same part numbers.
