2MA now turned 2XT first ride
« on: March 12, 2018, 04:05:16 AM »
It was a 2ma but it's now a 2xt all parts that the 2xt differs from the 2ma/1kt have been changed to 2xt.  Engine totally rebuilt 2xt cylinders replated to 2ma pistons. Running on 2my-50 cdi.

Chassis refreshed everything gone over brakes upgraded gpi radiator and silicone hoses. Found some rare pipes from Japan called koshien for it. 2xt wheels on pilot street radials now. Running sweet glad it's back going again.

Very nice upgrades. Whats the power difference between a stock 2ma and 2xt?

I would say it's about the same but this was it's first real ride so wasn't exactly ripping on it this time. Before it was f3 ported with jolly moto pipes on.

It felt like it always has which I think is a good thing. Just a lot more stable handling with the wider 2xt wheels it's got a 110/70 now up front with a 130 rear.

The front brake thinking about going back to stock master cylinder. Upgraded the caliper braided line and the master cylinder  it's truly one finger now. Pull the lever in a quarter inch and it's trying to do stoppies It is too much now.

I can imagine! You've got a R6/R1 gold spot caliper there?

Very nice. Great upgrades.

I found with the r6/R1 caliper the  stock r6/R1 master cylinder was way too much. It made the brakes feel wooden. I have a late model radial master from an Aprilia rs125 which has better feel, but can still put you over the handlebars.

Pilot street radials really changed the handling for me. Now on Diablo Ross 2 and are great as well.

12mm master is the correct size for R1/6 single setup.  The stock is what, 16mm on the R6?  Way too big.  Have yet to try due to snow but that is new setup here.
