TZR 3XV RS/TZ
« on: March 12, 2018, 02:15:29 PM »
I have made my 3XV and modified the engine with TZ4DP cylinder and carb and intake. I bought a new SP crank and put it as a left outer part to fit TZ fly wheel and mounted complete TZ ignition. Also 4 DP exhaust, home made airbox like TZ. I can send detailed pictures. Hope you understand my english. I hope that this modification will result in 80 RWP. Do you have experience in this?

Cool bike
I'm no 3xv expert but id think you should be  getting near 80hp with that set up.
You still have a 3xv balancer shaft ,gearbox and clutch which will be a small bit harder to turn than tz stuff .
You will probably be a few hp shy of a full blown tz which is not too shabby .  (-P)

I'd be interested In pictures of your airbox .????

Hemi the buider of the bike says I should post more pics of the bike.
He says he is not so good at this forum stuff, mostly because of the language I suppose, but it is very interesting reading.

Those airboxes are really neat! I've been wanting to make something similar for my track 3XV for years, but have never got around to it. Hopefully yours will be an inspiration to get on with it  (-P)

Should say thanks for the comments from Hemi (-P)

He is going to modify the RH cylinder airbox intake so that it takes air at a higher place, should no be that hard... says the guy watching by the sideline:))
Will post pics when its done.

Something that didnt occur to me that maybe could have made this story a hole lot simpler... the SPR or SP air intakes (not sure), the ones incorporated in the fairing...
Maybe the design could have been changed on those and adapted to the new boxes...

Yuri, don´t hang me on that one... Hemi got the boxes from Chris Jensen - http://cjrenovering.dk/
I´m inclined to think they are late 4TW early 5KE.

This is one og Chris´ TZMs stretching its legs in italy :))

Hi Rui, thank's a lot for the pics. I think it will be not possible to use the SP / SPR air ducts as he is using the 4TW radiator which blocks the path from the inlet to the frame (had the same issue on my 3XV when installing the 4TW rad...  :)) )

Yes Juergen your rigth, not rum for youse org. intake, when you youse 4TW radiator, that too wide , this is the only way make this, and ist Ok i belive.

The left Airbox  with std. frame (no Hole ) ist  wath you kan make it, from right side as i have.

    But 5Ke  and  4TW air ,is kompl.diff.

Mine Airbox is homemade for this bike, only top is from 5KE, this is big big job.

Rui or me will bring you result for  Test how many HP i bring on RW.     Waith for better wether over here.          And bring you more pic.

    Hemi. Sorry Bad Englich.
