Yep same one, they are still available on eBay etc, koyos with the retaining pin so same as oem. (-P)

Rods replaced. New bearings. Lab seal was ok so wasn’t replaced
Trade price discount is between 5% and 20%. They also give a discount to good customers. No one pays full price at Grampian. Just say what you paid. No one will get upset. It's only a guide

Turns out it wasn’t the crank, oblong windows had been cut in the intake side of the pistons, a piece of piston had broken off and piston skirt was cracked. Made one hell of a noise for that. Anyway new crank is in and new pistons as bores weren’t damaged

2 of the rd500's pistons have windows on the intake and the other 2 pistons are shared with the tzr250.
Maybe you had the rd500 pistons with windows installed by mistake?

Weeent the same as 500 pistons. They were genuine 1kt pistons.  The oblong window was cut into the piston just below lower ring
