well the Rs has been sold (cheep) as I'm converting the back bedroom into a bathroom, then I will need to put the old bathroom back into a bedroom.

I know it sounds a bit strange its just that we have a 3 story house and the old bathroom is on the 3rd floor most inconvenient when your watching TV and need the loo

having to pop up 2 flights of stairs especially with the old knee playing up.

And then its decorate the rest of the house so wouldn't have any time to do anything with it and as it was outside just under a cover it was starting to corrode.

so better to let it go to someone who is going to get on with it.

if the weather and battery are ok tomorrow will take a break and have a quick run out on the 4DL been to long.

... The 4DL with his dellorto. . . it's escalation of the needle (too rich for reliability around worldwide) that prevents you from finding a satisfactory adjustment  ;)

Bonjour Toop,

very interessting what you have written. Can you give me an advice which needle works better ?

There are many many years that I would ride with him. . . sorry
I look if I still have a dellorto carburetor and it's in there. But I do not promise anything.
must be set to not be too rich like the OEM isOEM , it is a certainty  ;)

Hi,

that would be very nice if you can have a look but it´s no problem if not.
The needle from the DL R should be a "U21"-Needle and the DL RR use a "U23" one.

I have heard it from several persons that the needle from the DL-Models are much rich.....

well popped out and uncovered the bike for the first time since having it on the dyno around October 10th.

thought it was time to put the fairings back on, but thought I'd see if there was any chance of it starting first.

was amazed there was enough charge in the battery to turn the engine over upshot after 4 attempts it coughed

and on the 6th attempt it ran, and after warming up to temp it even revved cleanly so happy days.
