Bikestyle 3xv race fairings. Testing the water.
« on: March 31, 2018, 11:54:14 PM »
Russell at Bikestyle UK would be up for making 3xv race fairings if we can get a minimum of 10 orders placed.

The quality would be better than anything else out there. I'm not sure on price, i need to speak to him again. But who would be interested in a set?

The 3yl fairing he does is here:

I'd be interested in a set if the price is similar to what's currently available.

My 1991 3XV1 came with this fairing, if its of any benefit I could loan it to Russell to create the batch of 10?

Just a thought.
Let me know.

Hi Chaps,

Had a good chat with Russell on the phone last night. He's going to have a think about this over the next few weeks as making the moulds is a hell of a lot of effort for very little return.

If it were to happen then the fairing would be Sugo style I.E. splits half way up the fairing, belly pan and top fairing, not like OEM.

Also it would be looking like a full kit would be around the 400-450 quid mark. But the quality would be top drawer, as Russell doesn't churn out anything rubbish.

He would need a top drawer quality fairing to use to make moulds, for example Cleverwolf from Japan. It has to be a great quality fairing to start with otherwise it's not worth doing.

So, who'd be interested in a set at 400-450 a pop?
