What pipes work well
« on: April 22, 2018, 01:37:39 PM »
Will be needing a set of pipes for a 3xv r with Martin.s porting and a Zeel.
Opinions on what works well ? (Martin no longer makes 3xv pipes) and what you may have for sale.

Most of them will be an improvement over stock, even if its just a weight saving. Theres some info in the archives as well, for ex: JL pipes: http://pure2strokespirit.net/archive1/localhost/cgi-bin/ikonboard20e0.html?s=cc546999de3446d361d9dd7b0f95594a;act=ST;f=5;t=556

Theres also jackal, dogfight and sugo pipes to consider.

The 3xv section in the archives has more : http://pure2strokespirit.net/archive1/localhost/cgi-bin/ikonboard20e0.html?s=cc546999de3446d361d9dd7b0f95594a;act=ST;f=5;t=556

You can google search the archives from here (  http://pure2strokespirit.net/archive1/localhost/cgi-bin/ikonboard.html ) as well (search box up top) . The archives have quite a few dynographs in the threads with lots of interesting info...Grab a cup of tea(-P)

Any of the japanese pipes should be pretty good. I have personal experience with Daytona and Dogfight SP pipes and they both perform well. OX racing are almost identical to dogfight dimensions wise so should also perform well, i've not run them on the dyno though.
