Always nice to have a spare motor..although you'll have to assume the barrels and crank are shot.. ???

Not bad money is it, a novice like me could get a better understanding of what a 3xv engine is about, just by taking it apart, but i suppose putting it back together is the clever part! I do have a fully reconditioned standard crank, i presume theyre all standard engines, it does say make offer, not bad money is it,that seller has loads of parts, he told me hes got a 40 ft container arriving soon.

Seems a helpful guy. Spoke to him this week and he offered me a rummage through the 3XV parts as I was looking for brackets. Maybe a fun bus trip to Derby for a crowd of us?

So if he had a dry clutch engine or an s.p engine, what would be the distinguishing factors from just looking at it, are the cylinder heads stamped  with something as obvious as  "S.P" or "R"??

Dry clutch has a plastic cover, not smooth/silver one.

Worth negotiating with him once the expected container has arrived I would say.  :) (-P)

Apparently he is expecting a container around the beginning of June, might be worth asking if a group of us could visit en masse in an appropriate vehicle if that works for everyone?

Yes he told me he had a 40 foot container stuffed full of parts, not sure how much of that is tzr/ 3xv stuff. He might be up for that if he thought he could flog a load of stuff without incurring ebay/ paypal fees. He would have to have an alladins caves worth of gear to make it worth the trip up there, where are you then thump?
