Has anyone stripped and cleaned there clock face / and sponge in pertikular ? If it is sponge that is , iv taken off clock face already and can now see those plastic domed allen bolts are not real bolts . Push pins or something . What i really want to know is how to safely clean the clock face sponge ? Thanks in advanco  (-P)

The fake black allen bolts are little pins. If you look at the back of them carefully you'll see they have two prongs, which can be gently squeezed together and pushed out. I think I have a couple spare if you break them.. then the foam can be removed.
