Have you tried swapping the left/right indicators around to see if the problem moves? A long shot, but at least you'd rule out the indicator.

Have you got an led bulb in the dash? If so, it'll only work one way

Typical Yahama turn signal wiring.

When flashing left hand, the current is passing in the indicator one way and when flashing right hand then the current goes the other way in the indicator.

If you want to use led bulb or standard led then you need a diode bridge like this
