Special 4DL engine

This will not be a fast going project, as its between other projects ::)
But made a start with it so time to start a topic, for info and ideas.
Its about the same as Juergen with his 4FL vs 3XV I'm more into the 4DL vs 3MA
It needs less changing as bore/stroke are the same ;)

Have made a 3MA cylinder fit the 4DL crankcases, so the start is there.

The idea is as followed

1) 3MA cylinder
2) 3MA-SP head (thanks to Olivier's connections already present)
3) 3MA-32mm carb (wit TPS sensor)
4) Running on 3MA-00 CDI
5) Home made pipe

And hopefully a lot off fun to build it

How well to the transfer ports line up with the case?

Transfer ports needs work, have to widen them up a bid.
See here, but that is doable


A other change will be the reed block.
Want to use the Honda reedblock, as it is a bid shorter/widener
Need to open up the cases anyway
(Here with a oem reedblock)
