We paid $10,800USD for a 3xv1 in early 2018. Some of that went to a proper title and proof of ownership, but....Since, then we've spent another $6,000USD to make it reliable and add just bit of power. That total would buy a brand new R-1 with full warranty and all the electronic rider aids. Seems we're all a bit afflicted with 2T Derangement Syndrome. (2TDS)

Vinny. I'm betting someone will buy the 3xv SP. Prices just keep going up. "Buy now and Save, Save, Save."

Don't look at 500's  C:-) eventually they will price themselves out of the niche market these bikes are and younger generations won't hold them in such regard.

Buy one in Japan for a fair price and then do a total rebuild yourself if your looking for a keeper.
Every stroker I have bought has or will need a rebuild at some point before being used as intended.
We all know a proper rebuild can mean a lot of expensive/rare parts if done right.....there are worse ways to spend $$$

They will never be as cheap as they were yesterday....

Those are rough prices.

Chubba is right, the 3MA has a thread here.

3XV guy: "The description is short because anyone who has knowledge of this bike will contact me with the appropriate questions" , yeah OK I'll get right on that.

Yes. Logic would dictate a new R-1 to be a better “deal”. But, there’s few things more rewarding than building up your own 3xv and running down a Liter bike in the twisties.

Only one who understands 2TSD would understand.

Getting blow away in a straight section requires almost no skill. Give me the precision of a 3xv anytime.

Steve

I’ve owned two R-1’s.

I consider my 2ts as money pit  ;D . The only joy is tinkering/modifying it and riding it if goes well but if its my only bike i would just go for a 4 stroke and enjoy riding it.   8)

I've been noticing lately there's been a few bikes recently on Ebay state side and even some relisted bikes on raresportbikesforsale.com. that did not sale in the 10k - 12k usd ranges. One was a nice vfr400 a vj22 a vj23 a mc28.

Before they used to be gone before it was even posted but now that the avg price has hit 10k. They are taking much longer to sale now.
