Steve, I truly hope I can still be riding when I am looking at 70, let alone preparing for a track day.
Although by then, I also hope I won't have to work everyday to maintain my 2 stroke habits, and have more time to play  :)

That's the trick, isn't it. I'm still picking up work here and there, but am always wanting something else for the 3xv. Right now, that's an Ohlins YA-340 shock and spring. I've got more time to work on the bike and ride these days, but the money must come from the household budget. That makes the wife my only sponsor. She's been a sweetheart, but I'm going to start selling 3xv street-duty "take-offs", as she still has fist call on any non-moto income.

Wish us both luck. Dreams keep you moving forward.

Hope to see you at the track in 2020. That RS is gorgeous.

Putnam is near Indianapolis. Good track, but not necessarily 250 2T friendly. Fresh pavement last year. Mid-Ohio desperately needs a re-pave, but is perhaps the most interesting track I've ever ridden. Gateway near St. Louis is OK, but has a weird transition from the infield onto the NASCAR portion of the track. Long straight, but otherwise 2T friendly.

I know there are several tracks near Chicago, but haven't ridden any. Blackhawk Farms comes to mind.

Here's to a great 2020. Hope we can get it together somehow.

A two stroke meet up would be cool, as we know they are few and far between in these areas.
I can fit two in my van....one for the track and one just to have more two strokes to see  8)

Thanks  (-P)

The front wheel, rotors, forks and triples are from a 1988 FZR1000....3.5x17.....
Calipers are from an R1, front master is a radial from a GSXR1000, rear caliper bracket was made by me.
Rear wheel is a 5.0x17 from a TRX850, with bearings and spacers to match the RZV axle
Handlebars are from a 3MA1....TZ250 front fender
It's a bitsa....but all works together quite well

Thanks  (-P)
Things have been going slow with my strokers the past few months.
Virus worldwide causing shipping to shut down in many cases.
And bike shows and races cancelled or moved out to a distant date.
The VJ21 SP I was building for a Bonneville run will be collecting dust for the next 3-4 months as I save $$$ for the big bore, since the AMA/FIM has cancelled the top speed event this year.  >:(
I have it bolted up in dry build mode to keep everything in one place for now.
But I am still scheduled for a track day at Grattan in Michigan in a couple weeks, so I hope that motivates me to do even more of the same this season with the RS.

Looks like you have plenty of dusting to do! NICE collection (-P) jealous of that collection, but even more jealous of the size of your garage, id kill for that amount of space!
Yeah snow here last week, weather nice now except our local council has smothered the roads in rock salt, deadly to fixings and fittings on bikes, they think people are going to go careering off the roads left right and center, just because the overnight temp hits 0° ::)

Thanks guys  (-P)
Luckily no salt on the roads.....think the city was too lazy/cheap for that.
Took many years to get myself the place I have now, and with these two strokes....spare parts is always a good idea.
The KTM's in the pic are my wifes 390 Duke, and my 1290 SuperDuke GT (which I truly love)....and seems to handle as good as my 250's  ;)
