Suzuki PE250B Vintage Supermotard
« on: January 14, 2020, 11:02:18 AM »
Almost finished:

I was aiming for a kind of flat-tracker/hill-climber/supermotard look, while maintaining a standard-ish/period appearance as well.

The exhaust modifications were intended to reduce noise and appear to have been at least partially successful.

Looks great James (-P)

Don´t really understand whats going on with the exhaust pipe though... perhaps a bit of the pipes efficiency goes lost with that layout?
Nevertheless, think the bike looks great!

John Dixon did extensive testing and determined that there was no loss in efficiency.

James,
I really like the bike especially the unconventional exhaust!
Cheers

:) Thanks - in this case, 'unconventional' equals slightly less noisy, so it is a definite improvement! I'll see how it works out in the longer term.

:) Yes, I had seen the Afterburner before in another advert:

I'm not sure why the idea never caught on - anyone know anything more about the history of these pipes?
