I'd not even noticed the screen!
assume that's not cool 😂
Another thing on the shopping list...

Just trying to get the thing running properly and then will start on the bodywork, fairing is a cheap repro and has a few cracks that need plastic welding.

Really want a rear seat cowl as well.

Welcome. Is your bike a JDM model? If so, you may have the more prestigious 2XT model - the paint scheme would suggest so. The top fairing appears to be one from the original 1KT model, but the rest seems to be 2XT. If it is a 2XT, the chassis number should be 1KT-09XXXX (where X could be any number).
Export models from 1988 onwards had the same paint scheme as the 2XT (and also the updated rear suspension), but mostly kept other features of earlier models.

James

Yes if it is 2XT the rim are 2.75" front and 3.5" rear.
Left cylinder is stamped 2XT

Easy to check.

Thanks for the info gents.
Just checked and it was manufactured in 1987, frame no is 1kt 02***"
Japanese import and Speedo is kph.

I'm guessing this is a cheap repro fairing kit, it's defo not great quality.

Once she's up and running I'll start looking at bodywork as much prefer the original livery.

I used to have a TZR back in the mid 90's, unfortunately it got stolen so really pleased to get one again.

This was mine back in the day.

Not to worry - it still looks a clean and tidy bike! Let us know what else you find out about it.
