I don't have a gearing calc' for the 3XV to hand (I think I've got one somewhere though. If I find it, I'll mail it to you), but, logically, it'd be going a little bit quicker at the same revs. But such a relatively small change to the final drive ratio isn't going to make masses of difference either way I don't think -  fitting a new rear tyre or a slightly higher profile one would almost make as much difference.

Cheers

Wb

here is a mathematical solution:
from info above-
14/38 = 2.714 = 120mph @ x revs used as reference

(be nice to know what x revs is)

14/37 = 2.642
2.714/2.642 = 1.025
120 * 1.025 = 123mph @ x revs

16/38 = 2.375
2.714/2.375 = 1.14
120 * 1.14 = 137mph @ x revs

does this seem logical (captain)
???

Posted a screen shot from a gearing calc in a seperate thread so that this one might return to it's proper function.

My calcs were based on a reference. They would, theoretically anyway, give an idea of the difference in speeds on the reference bike (skinuthbillys) for those gearing changes shown at the reference engine speed - whatever that may be.

but then maths wasn't my strong point.............. :p

You might look at TZR 125 or similar or fit a complete set up - lever plus bracket. I think the basic componets (nipple and barrell) of clutch cables are much the same.

If the part number for the lever has a 3XV prefix it is probably unique but could be the same as a later bike.

have you checked aftermarket suppliers ?

I know the brake lever is the same as ZZR250, VTZ250, TZ250.
try Wemoto or something like that.
