Andy thats a great looking bike.  I never had body work worth a hoot so its always nice to see original skins.

Here is a pic of my prototype silencer.  I will have the nipple turned down to make it look better as well as keep goo from spraying all over your pillion.  But hey this was the first run.

Glad you like the parts you purchased so far.  Let me know how they fare and if you have suggestions for improvements.

Eddy's bike is looking sharp, as ever. As is his Cat in pic 3! How come he doesn't pop up on here, Fred? Do you keep him in your cellar and only let hinm out for Ashbourne? :D

Have you seen this month's Performance Bikes? Nice shot of you and the R1-Z from Ashbourne on the inside front cover, as well as a spread on Nige's Biaggi rep 500. PB is getting a bit smokey again it seems...

Cheers

Wb

Hi Warwick,

Yes M8 I've seen pb mag .......

Some who have seen It and are featured are asking If we can have a poster size spred of the ashbourne pictures

Yes M8 NK's 500 gets another magazine feature ......
I've tried with me R1-Z but no offers yet for some reason  ???
Perhaps there are already bikes like it around every corner  ???

Don't know if Eddy visits the forum or not ......
He did say that posting up pictures was not for him as he could not get his head around it
???
He sure doe's have a good knowlage on 2 strokes and I'm sure he'd have imput for others ...

I'll ask him at Shardlow on Thursday .

The R1-Z is just too cool for the mags, Fred. It'll get it's day, don't worry.

When you see Eddy, Tell him he's an old fart and needs to get with the 21st century :p.  We are a small community and need all the input we can get.

Cheers

Indeed there is Jools. A lot of the RD and LC boys who post on Alek's RD forum: http://www.yamaha-rd.com/forum/index.php meet up there regularly - check out the events and meetings section. Bit too far from down here in Somerset, but I may run over there one of these days and stay overnight. Fred. You got a comfy couch?

Cheers

Shardlows only the biggest regular ( monthly ) Yamaha 2 stroke meeting in the UK if not the world

http://www.rd500ypvs.co.uk/EastMids.htm

I've been going for a long time ..... 4 or 5 years now  :)

Warwick M8 if you wanna come over to Shardlow I can put you up for the evening or if there's a problem lots of others would gladly put you up ..... be good for you to stop with Eddy then you could talk 3XV's and have a now legendary pootle over with the Coalville Mob  ???  It ain't for the faint hearted '' So They Say ''

Only problem now is gonna be the winter months .... gets dark early .... sun don't shine ..... September / October is the last for many on the bikes .... but lots still attend in the dark times takeing there turn driving a car full over ...
