I'm not hibernating, just busy doing jobs around the house that's been put off since the summer !!   I'll be starting my ( slow ) engine rebuild when I get back to work in January.   Skinuthbilly, did you get your barrels ported to SP spec by Martin77 as planned ? Did you also get a set of his expansion chambers ? Took delivery of a brace of LC 250 & 350 race bikes plus tons of spares for the bargain price of not a lot!! The 250 has a recon motor so with a touch of paint and a good clean up I should get at least that for it alone. skinuthbilly Group: Members Posts: 209 Joined: April 2007 Posted: Dec. 19 2008,01:31 that indeed is the plan martin! i just want to run it a little over the xmas hols,coz she aint been struck up for ages,(and hopefully annoy the neighbours a little!!) hopefully get the top end over to you sometime early jan,if thats ok? no potential problems wullie, all i've done recently is to strip and check the carbs,check p/v alignment,plugs,fiddle with this,fiddle with that,wizz a bit of mr sheen over the shiny bits...job's a good un!!!!!!!   Back to top

skinuthbilly Group: Members Posts: 209 Joined: April 2007 Posted: Dec. 19 2008,22:03 the fens? umm, i think that's down boston/peterborough way! i live 5 miles from cadwell park,my favourite route is louth to wragby,to horncastle,then back up to louth taking you past cadwell,some of the best roads in lincolnshire i think.... (or louth to cleethorpes on the back roads)(or louth to skegness on the main road!) Back to top

wullie3XV9 Wullie3XV9 Group: Members Posts: 293 Joined: June 2008 Posted: Dec. 20 2008,00:03 Sorry Ian, I thought the Fens went that far North !    Having spent two months of my time in the R.A.F at Waddington, South of Lincoln, (summer '87), & riding up to Cadwell a couple of times to race meets on my bike, I remember the countryside being fairly flat compared to my home county.
