Glad to be of service Jools. Just to clear something up, technically speaking, what I SHOULD have said was fuel metering nozzles. They're just basically glorified carb main jets, but are about 1 inch long !!, that are screwed into the inlet port of the cyl. heads. They have a precision drilled hole, which delivers the fuel at however many millilitres of fuel per minute, at 20 psi fuel pump pressure. I work on Lycoming 4 stroke, air cooled, 360 cubic inch, flat four "Boxer" aero engines, that have a crude butterfly controled, differential air pressure metered fuel injection system, with a manualy controlled, (by the pilot), mixture adjustment, ( to allow for the air density decreasing with altitude ). Hope I'm making sense !!
-------------- Just when I'm about to make ends meet, someone moves the ends !!
