Hi people, merry xmas !! I have had trouble trying to locate a fuel tank and throttle ( handlebar end ) for my project bike and was wondering if other bike's might have the same fitting's ? I've seen a tz with what look's like the same tank And i know that some tzr125r part's are the same as the 3xv. Just thought i'd check it out before buying anything !! Happy new year If i dont read this before then !!lol.

Not sure about TZ tanks, but 125R 4FL or 4HW tanks are identical to 3XV AFAIK. I'd think you could use/adapt pretty much any single cable type throttle cable housing and tube. The oem 3XV one is just a simple housing with no switch unit attached.

Thank's warwick .I was not sure if all the mounting's for the tank were the same. I've seen seen some tzr 125 tank's, but not all of them have the raised part at the bottom for the fuel tap to poke through. I will ask someone on the 125 forum for bar size's and pic's to see if the throttle unit is the same. If so then i'll add it to the compatible part's list.

The 4DL model's tank is different, but I'm pretty sure the 4FL/4HWs use the same 3XV-type tank and, more or less, the same main frame as the 3XV so it should all bolt on neatly with the fittings that come with the tank I'd think ???. Not speaking from direct experience here though, and 4FL/4HWs are not really that common either unfortunately, so you may struggle just as much to find one of those as one from a 250...

I have a 4FL currently in my workshop, if you want any photo's or measurements, let me know.
The owner siezed it due to lack of oil. Yamaha here want the equivalent of 160 pounds for a piston and two rings, but I can buy a TZ piston for 40???
