Another suspension question... I always feel the 3xv drop into the corner too fast. fork already pushed down to the point its flat even with the triple clamp. I am thinking of increasing the rake angle.

Is there any way to increase the rake angle from the steering head like the Ducati did?

Don´t think it would be an easy thing to do, alter the rake angle.
You could on the other hand have a set of triple clamps or yokes made with a little less offset.
That would increase trail, and give you a more stable ride.
Or maybe just have a top clamp made with a little more offset then the bottom clamp. That would as well, increase trail.

Or, you could just try to go faster in the bends. Centrifugal force would then help you

Have you tryed playing with preload. Maybe adding preload would also help.

Have you thought about lowering the back end with different dogbones which would also make the rake angle less steep?

Has a previous owner put any washers between the top rear shock mount & the frame ? I have 5 mm worth of washers fitted to mine & have never had any handling issues of note. As for "dog-bones", the 3XV don't 'ave 'em, just two cast aluminium links. As suggested by Casal-fan, some more spring pre-load on the front & a bit less on the back will help slow the steering down by raising the nose of the bike / lowering the rear. HTH.

Edit :- Would overtight / badly worn steering head bearings cause "dropping in" symptoms ?

checked the steering head bearing, it is nice and smooth. I was thinking of rake angle also because the front wheel rubbing the fairing for some strange reason....

Preload spacer up front
Heavier fork oil or springs
Off set steering bearings
Lower ride height on rear
A combination of the above
Maybe

i honestly dont know why you'd want to change the rake angle ,the 3xv is prob one of the best handling bikes ive ridden on the track, sounds like you've got some kind of clearance problem there,is it an aftermarket fairing? have the forks been dropped through the yokes at all??
