My understanding is it lets the bike rev after 180 on the clock in 6th, the jap restrictions kill the stock ignition, signal from the tab moving through the optics hence trimming the tab back. If the motor can pull it of course, although I had mine limiting a few times in stock trim. Just that I have the clocks I got from you apart, I can see the tab, its dismantling the actual drums and gears to get to the tab that look a bit tricky.
