3xv8 - serial number 080320.

What is different to my 3xv1 motor?
Port timing, ignition, etc?

Any help urgently appreciated.

3xv-00 cylinders, 3xv-01 cylinder heads, 3xv-40 cdi (40bhp), dry clutch, 28mm carbs.

I could run my 3xv1 on a 40 cdi. Should work the other way round I would imagine.

If this is right http://forums.mytzr.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=15 then I suspect a '00 CDI will run a 92RS as they are both mechanical oil-pumps and both 45bhp.

Seems like a bitsa, Clutch is wet, not dry as per frame #

Was getting excited for a while.

Yan is correct.

The -40 CDI's came off '92 model R/RS's which were 45 hp models. '93 model R/RS's had -60 CDI's & were further restricted to 40 hp.

My '93 RS has been retro-fitted with a cable operated 2T oil pump at some point in its life & came with a -40 CDI fitted instead of a -60.
