Hi Guys;

Am I correct in saying this is the reverse cylinder :?: If so will these barrels fit a TZR :?:

Thank You

Hello Edd,

Cant see what you mean (see no picture), but I doubt if a tz 3TC cylinders will bold straight on a 3ma engine.

What will bold straight on are the yz125 1990 cylinders (don't know how easy they are to get in SA)

Tell us your planes :beer:

I would suggest that you get a base gasket from the tz and see if it fits onto your studs . I guess that it will be very close . Problem is that those cylinders are like finding a sober man at an AA meeting :lol:

Hi Guys;

Sorry for the confusion I meant to ask about tz 250 250 A (3tc) if the bike was a reverse cylinder :) , but yes I saw a set available for relatively cheaply. Just wondered if they will fit a 3ma? just no power valves he claims 82bhp heads?

yes it is a reverse model . You will need the tz heads too . Once you go down this route you will either love it or hate it . Chances are the later because of the many mods you will do to get it right and as you get it right , it goes BANG for a silly reason .

Well then its better that you leaf them there, they could never have 82hp.
Think in those day's you be very very very happy if it had 72HP :mrgreen:

I'll post the timing of the SP barells one of these days,i guess it'd be better just to find a pair of damaged 3ma cylinders,tune them to sp specs and send them for a replate.
I guess it wont be easy to have access in all these ports without the right tools but you can try.

Unlike with the V twins, the reverse cylinder TZ motor is completely different to the road bike motor and there is no direct or easy compatibility of parts.

Hi dee
For me, right now, that would be appreciated.
Anyone else got a portmap of a improved 3MA? This is for my roadbike.
