Ok, I can report back some interesting stuff, confirmed by a lot of testing. (other servo has had its life so testing done with original servo)
The servo was sounding very smooth as seen in the vids. I warmed it up and straight afterwards turned it on and off and on and off, and same problem hardly turns and turns very slowly(sounds like it is under a lot of load and straining). I then went to get the camera and what do you know it is almost back to normal again????, and only after 30 seconds. I filmed it anyway. I then went for another ride and same thing hardly turns and sounds like it is struggling a lot. quickly went inside and got the camera and it had already started turning more freely.
I cannot understand why after such a short period of time the servo can get back to normal.
This video is taken about 30 seconds after the bike was running. You can hear it is slightly worse than when cold but still no where near as bad straight after the bike is running. When I am riding, it often doesn't turn at all which I can feel because I get stuck at 6000-7000rpm because the pv is open.
http://youtu.be/z-zLMyCzwt4And just something to add. I stopped at a robot and the battery had lost almost all its charge, the neutral light and flickers were very dim. I then stopped, loosened my PV cables because I was certain the PV was draining all the battery charge and drove a few km's and back to normal neutral light was bright and flickers too. Maybe the servo is faulty after all.
Any advice or opinions welcomed as usual
