Throttle Shut Off Cable

Postby smokin3ma » Fri Jun 01, 2012 11:05 am

Hey guys,
well i was looking at my bike and I found it doesn't have a throttle shut off cable,
I was talking to my mate (the previous owner) and he said it broke and he never
saw the point of replacing it,
just wondering if anybody has a spare cable I can buy or if anybody knows of 1
for sale?
Thanx guys
Peter :mrgreen:

Hi Peter;

You dont realy need it. But if you realy need one you can get them from yamaha, not that expensive.

Unless you rig up some kind of additional throttle return spring the throttle slides can sometimes stick a bit without the return cable. I have a good used one if you want it. £10.00 delivered? - assuming you are in the UK. If not it would be a little more with postage. PM me if you want it.

Possibly neccesary in cold climates, carb freezing with them being out front.
