According the manual its 10w30. I've got plenty of 10w40 in the garage. Are you thinking what I'm thinking...
So what's the difference, and if 10w30 is so important any suggestions of brand as I've not seen any of this spec around recently?
Opps, this should have been in the 2MA section...
Hi there
The difference between 10w30 and 10w40 oil is the thickness or viscosity of the oil. At cold temperatures or when an engine is cold, both of these oils operate the same. But at higher engine or environmental temperatures, the heavier oil, the 10w40, operates better.
This has served me well, wouldn't bother with anything else :)

The Motul has served me well too , I have noticed that the Bellray version gave me a noisier , rigid feeling when changing gears . IMO

Me to. Takes the abuse of clutchless gear changing. But I change it every 1200 km a bit early for a roadie.
