EBC's are good
I would recommend goldfren hh sintered pads. You won't get better for the money. Have a search on ebay for them. Cheap too.
Dan
If the pistons don't push back smoothly and relatively easily with just hand pressure, servicing the calipers will make the most difference to braking performance and feel. All modern pads will work well. Sintered are best for ultimate power generally, but for the road a good set of cheaper organic pads are more than enough. Though as Dan notes, the Goldfrens are pretty good for the money. And are more than up to anything you'll ever ask of them on the road. Whatever pads you use though, they will only work as well as the condition of the calipers and master cyl allow though, so it's well worth doing the caliper seals if they are gripping the pistons.
I have HH Goldfrens in the race 3XV and can't fault them - apart from trying to do handstands if i grab to big a handfull ;)
