Title: Exhaust collars needed
Post by: m3-paul on September 25, 2012, 12:05:34 AM
Does anyone know where I can get a pair of exhaust collars for my 2ma. I have a set of pipes but no collars or springs to mount them to the cylinders :-[ .

A picture will be helpful as after each market pipes have their own collar type.
Do you know the pipe brand ?

This is the thing, I don't know the make, picking them up this evening. Will get a picture up as soon as i get them. Just wondering what is out there and if need be I can modify them to fit the pipes but ultimately I need two collars and at the moment anything will do ;) .

Gecko Racing sells these for the 3XV.  Not sure if they will bolt up to your cylinders?  The spigot end can be machined down if it's too big...

Yep, only five miles from me so maybe it was fate ;D . I have been to Gibson Exhausts and thy have made me a pair of collars this afternoon so I just need springs to enable them to be installed.

The kguys at Gibson think they could be pipes from OX Racing whoever they are. They also think they are very good quality and will not be sacrificing bottom end. They also feel that while maybe going up a size in mains is the safe thing to do that in reality it could possibly stay on the original mains but any opinions from you guys on rejetting is welcome so I don't blow a piston.

I know they came from an imported 1KT.
