Im talking about the straight headpipe 'street' pipe they sell on a 1kt/2ma. anyone ever dyno a bike with those chambers, rest being relatively stock? just curious how they stack up against the stock pipes.
I'm not asking about anyone else's pipes before this derails, just those. Thanks!
They definitely be lighter than stock which would help handling.
Friend put a set of them on his 2ma a few years ago and really likes them. Before he had jolly moto's on it. Which are more track style mid/top. He says they have better roll on make good power. Lil less top end vs the jolly's. He has no intention of going back to the jolly's for the street.
This is on a stock engine setup it's a non jdm model. It's a Canadian one 2my-50 cdi like a UK bike.
They sign off at 10k which is where the 2ma hits that rev limit red line.
They sound great and 4 ? Years later still look good.
Got these ones
those are the exact ones i have. i have a shaved head (0.8mm squish set) and a zeeltronic, rest stock & fresh. (87 1kt model)i do like them a lot, and it will actually pull past just past 10 (10.5), but i attribute that to the ignition curve i have in.
was just curious to see a dyno run on these vs a stock set of pipes.. I might have to take it to the local place and give it a run. (-P)
and yes they are much, much lighter and do sound better.
Does anyone have some sound clips to share. I'd love to compare a few, thanks!
TBH, i actually put my stock pipes back on in the spring. I still have the K2Teks but the gain wasnt really notable between the 2. i don't race it so, back on they went. It will get t0 100 pretty quick w me on it, bike is otherwise stock aside from the zeeltronic w a hybrid TDR/2xt ign curve and a corrected squish to 0.8mm. Im not saying the were bad at all. i cleaned the stock baffles and IMHO the stock pipes sound pretty good at powerband. I have other bikes with rowdy chambers for when i want that as well. ;)
