Hi guys I'm working on restoring my TZR125 4HW to a nice condition. I'm not wanting to go nuts but do things like exhaust and replace corroded bolts, etc.
I need to do a few mechanical things on it such as fork seals that are leaking badly and clutch cover gasket. I had to ride the bike through the winter last year as I didn't have my car licence then which has added a layer of crust to everything. Stay tuned for more updates ;D
Welcome to the forum. Look forward to seeing more pics and progress.
If you're going to be replacing corroded bolts I'd highly reccommend buying a tap and die set so you can clean up the threads where they are being removed from.
After 18 years of working on bikes myself I've only just done so and now addicted to that feeling on a super smooth thread as a new bolt glides in. Practice on some old threads first though as you can easily cross thread and wreck it but once you get the hang of it it's lovely!
As you may know, the 4HW was based off the 3xv 250 and so shares many parts so if you find you need bit's it's useful info to have.
Good luck!
Looks quite tidy so well worth fixing it up 8) Didn't realize the 125 came in those colors..

Thanks, I'll definitely invest in a good tap and die set.

It was originally pink but has a damaged fuel tank so I had to get a Chinese plastics set as It's hard to find a fuel tank in decent condition
