Title: Small Winter project - SPR
Post by: pnicho on October 08, 2024, 05:28:31 PM
Hi All,

New to the forum, been lurking for a while.

Just bought an SPR (pic below).
Pretty original bike except a few things.

1 - Forks are right for the model, but the externals are wrong (gold for some reason) so will need to fix that - suggestions on replacements anyone?
2 - Forks have black chrome tubes instead of silver ones - again, any suggestions on replacements?
3 - Need a right hand clip on (currently on aftermarket ones, I have a left one)
4 - Temperature sensor doesn't work - gauge is fine.

Any help, comments or suggestions greatly appreciated

Many thanks
Phil (base in UK)

Fork tubes are limited check with Tnk out of Italy they might have some for the SP forks.

It sounds like someone all ready swapped them out.

Could be the China one's off ebay they used also the only other readily available choice.

I am also from Kent and there are a few of us down this end of the country who regularly meet up. All with 3XV's amongst other things. I too have an SPR and can generally keep you out of trouble but the more you wander around this forum the more you will appreciate how useful and helpful it is with respect to owning these amazing but temperamental bikes!!!

You can maybe get some forks from Japan, SPR's get split every now and then..
