Hi all,
Having a bit of an issue and wondering if hte forum can help.
Currently working on a rebuild. The bodywork is halfway assembly. Rear end is together.
Both blinkers work in the rear but only light up the dash indicator when engaging one side. The other side blinks but does not turn on the dash light.
I have tried a 2nd switch assembly with the same results.
Any ideas?
I do not currently have the front turn signals attached. Would this cause the issue?
Many thanks!
Evan
it can . also, make sure its not an led bulb in the dash
Yes no led because dash turn signal bulb is in the middle of left and right indicators.
Bulb is powered in one direction when flashing right and the other on left.
If you want to go to led, you'll need to add a small rectifier in the loom.
So no LED bulb in there. From the sounds of the last comment it may have something to do with the fronts not being attached if its in the middle?
Thanks!
Few questions :
Does the 4 turn signals are on the bike ?
Does the turn signals are flashing left and right with front and rear ?
Dash board bulb is connected between the green (left side) and chocolate (right side) wires.
So if the answer at question 2 is Yes then bulb should flash on left and right.
If turning left the flashing 12V is on the green wire and the dash bulb is getting the ground through the chocolate wire then the right turn signal bulbs then the black wire (ground).
To your questions...
no, only the rear turn signals are on the bike.
Yes, the rear turn signals flash in the rear properly both left and right when using toggle. The dash light works in only one direction.
So you have a problem on the wiring loom at the dashboard bulb.
Check the wiring at the dashboard.
- bulb should be connected to green and chocolate wires.
- looks like the bulb is connected green - black (ground) or chocolate - black
