Going to need it racing all the late model 600s and 750s. At least I will only have one bike to look after that day and I might even get the front forks looked at beforehand to stiffen them up.

Yuri

This is a nice bike do you have the same fly wheel setup as Neal ?

epa police

No I just have the Yamaha flywheel on mine, I'm not mates with Kenny like Neal is  ;D

Neal

 :o ;D

I am having another one made soon as the season is finished this year . If anyone wants one I can keep them updated .

Do you think the weight of a battery is less than the setup you have ?

Whats the cost Neal ?

I missed this - any photos ?

No prices available yet as I have not sent mine for measuring . This flywheel is light , the bike revs very quickly when you blip the throttle , much better than other skimmed flywheels I have had on other bikes before . I don't know if the bike performs better or worse with this set up as this is how I got it but from previous back to back dyno runs comparing skimmed flywheels it seemed like the skimmed unit offered more hp than a stock unit .

Do you think that was a works yamaha part ?

Neal

Sorry to side track Pats thread .

This part was on the Marlboro team bike that Robbie Petersen had from the team racing in Asia . Another gentleman told me they were the only guys that had those flywheels and he raced against those bikes in the day .

Raced the old girl yesterday and it went well. I raised the mains by 10 and in the morning it was ok but by the afternoon it was too rich and trying to foul the plugs. The track was super hot and slippery and every race had to be red flagged except for four races. The carnage over the weekend was unreal, we had 6 helicopters fly in and 27 medical pick ups on Sunday alone. By the end of Sunday I was the only bike left in my class and in one accident 8 bikes got taken out when a diesel blew up and dumped oil across the track on a blind crest corner, turn 8 at the creek for anyone that knows the track. We only got a race and a half in for the day.
The bike needs a front end tune and a motor refresh now for next year as I plan to run it all year in this series with the 125 and use the TZs in the other series, going to be an expensive year  8)

If the knob heads replying to Steve Kairls Facebook post were anything to go by you'd best steer well clear in future. Chest beating Neanderthals comes to mind !!

I seem to recall I did a St George event years ago and one class was full of nutter weekend warriors then. Lets hope they stay there............
