Running rough again.

Hi all, after replacing the pick up coil with the original one I took off a fair few years  ago due to a no spark problem. I think I got a replacement from Electrex world back then.
Bike was running pretty well with the original one back on. But now has gone back to running like crap again. Do you think the pick up has given up the ghost again ?
Where do you get pick up coils from now as I can't see a fitment on electrex worlds web site for tzr 250 1kt?

are you sure that it is an ignition problem?
i had a sometimes crappy running and it turns out it was a loose piece of the inner sheet of the exhaust that blocked the exhaust...

Hi problemchild,  Not sure if that could be a problem due to only having the copper gaskets on the exhaust . But now I am getting two oiled up plugs instead of just the left cylinder. have replaced the ignition coil, new plugs and caps, cleaned the carbs with new refurb kits. Every thing seems to be in spec when checked with the multimeter. Really struggling to work out the issue as has been going on for months  considering putting a blanket on it and leaving it at the back of the garage. It did run better for 30 miles when I put the old  pickup coil back on though. Any ideas  welcome. Desperate from Newport

What a bitch of a bunch of bikes. No telling. Is the controller original. I did not like to spend the money but eliminated a big question about running properly. Power valves working?

Hi rz500,  do you mean power valve control box ? The power valves do cycle on ignition turn on.  Have revved  it to 7 -8 thousand  with power valve  cover off and it does move when revved up.
Takes a bit more kicking over  to start up than previously always needs  choke when cold  never really did in the past , I kicked  it over with spark plugs resting against the engine  and very hard to see a spark even in a very dark garage.
