If I was going to spend that kind of money I would get the Micoproducts one .

I think they might be forgetting the "classic bike rule of thumb" and looking to charge what it cost them in bits to do. The "gist" is that you buy a bike for 2000 potatoes (insert your local currency here), spend 2000 potatoes in bits and maintenance and it ends up being worth at best 2500 potatoes. You do it for the love knowing you probably won't get the return on investment.

Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely bike. It's just a lot of money, that like Neal said, I would spend doing it my way if I had it.

$25,000 for an RD 500? thanx, but i'd rather keep my 3XV....  ;D

He doesn't say if he has ridden the thing and looking at the pictures the wheels look very close to everything. Expensive ornament

About 3 years ago I had all the bits to build a bike like this after I saw them advertise them on adjustment tech site . I eventually had to admit that I could not do most of the work needed to convert things and could not afford to pay someone to do it for me .
I chose to focuss on things that I can keep under control

Expensive indeed...especially for a stock motor!

A friend has a RGV/RG conversion which is very nice.  I've been told that is the way to go, but again...all out of my price range.

The engine weight will be too far forward.

Slinger (Glyn - GPL Racing) did a YPVS350 engine into a TZR125 frame (Same as 3XV), but weight was too far forward and the front end could not cope, so had to rebuild into a 4DL/3MA chassis.
