Genuine 2MA Exhausts

Been looking at replacing the exhausts on my TZR 250 2MA. The current ones are a bit worse for wear as the bike has been garaged and off the road for about 20 years. I'm slowly trying to get it back into a roadworthy condition and prefer to use genuine parts where I can get them. Anyone know where/if I can find a pair of genuine Yamaha standard road exhausts (perhaps NOS) and has anyone any idea what sort of ballpark cost these go for nowadays compared to non-genuine replacements?

I suppose it depends on what sort of condition you want the bike to be in and what you want to do with it, but if it was me, I wouldn't be too worried about spending a heap of money on NOS exhausts. If you want to actually ride the bike I would be looking at exhausts from someone like Martin77 and then keep an eye out for a decent set of used original exhaust. Although once you fit a decent exhaust, you will never fit the original back on, unless you just what it as a museum piece.

Hi xstian. Thanks for your response. Its good to get feedback on peoples opinion. Sounds like good advice and certainly something to consider. It has crossed my mind to get non-genuine pipes if genuine pipes are too costly. I know original pipes are difficult to find nowadays. Was striving to get my bike back to as original a condition as I could but not at any expense.

It's usually the cans that look tatty.
I had some thin aluminium sheet rolled up and rivetted these on to the exhaust to cover
