The plastic bar I got was hard so made a couple of bushes and sacked the bronze idea.Didnt get a response on what rear shock to go for so got a YSS.Cleaning the frame was the worse job so far, years of gunk to try and get off. I bought some stuff to spray on but didn't shift anything luckily I found an aerosol of car ally wheel cleaner then jet blasted it clean ready to get paint off.

After days of rubbing down frame and swingarm ready for paint I finally got some coats on there. Etch primer, yambits silver and topped off with 2K matte lacquer. The swingarm I brushed with scotchbrite and lacquered over the top.The chain adjusting clamps are rusty I can't put those back on and are NLA so I got a plate of stainless steel and with a bit of filling and drilling made up two of them I laugh in the face of no longer available!

Nice job there, stainless steel is very hard to drill, cut, grind and file.

And polish, thanks but a few hours effort and £8 it was worth it and knowing they won't rust. I bought some drill bits from a bike show over 30 yrs ago they look like masonary drill bits the guy was drilling through files and other hard metals    .They still do the job well.Today put the brackets back on the frame using stainless steel rivets, I'm not sure whether to put engine in first or build the bike up first ?
