G'day all,

Long time no visit, hope everyone in TZR land is doing well.

Gave the 3XV a few top speed runs yesterday for, erm, R&D purposes and was a bit disappointed when I got back and checked the GPS and found the highest recorded speed was 179.5kmh...

Not that this is a regular occurrence but I would like to think it has potential for more than what it was originally speed limited to.. bike has jackal pipes, sp cylinders, and of course a zeeltronic. My hearing is 14/39.

Cut a long story short, am I right in thinking that the zeel deletes the speed limiter completely? Of course I am aware that it could be my shorter choice of gearing hindering the max speed but i had my suspicions being that it landed dead on 180kmh (well, almost)

Zeel was set with a 12000rpm limiter so I've upped that to 12,500 and will drop the rear sprocket 1 tooth and try again this weekend. Any input until then appreciated.

Ahh guess what it won't probably go faster. Because 6th gear isn't really a 6th gear on jdm bikes it's just an over drive gear. Same speed ratio as like 5th gear.

Example rgv250's sold in jdm have what I mentioned above. But the uk euro models have a real 6th gear and can get higher top speeds. Same thing applies to kr1s.
