Mine is, as far as I know standard. 92 C3 but does have 00 CDI.
Normally riding there seems no need to rev it over 9500.
I did give it a burst in 3rd & it went up to 11500 & wanted to go higher,so backed off.

Have owned at TDR & that brick walled at 10000 & a 350 F1 at 9500.

I take it the 00 CDI does not rev limit by by reducing the advance or closing the power valves at higher than normal revs.

Has anyone found this to be the same.
Thanks Keith

Mine has the 3xc-00 cdi as standard, I can confirm there is no rev limiter or anything else restrictive going on with the cdi mine will rev to the moon and back.
What I did find most restrictive on mine was the standard 26mm carbs so I changed them for two carbs from DTR125's which are 28mm and have airscrews for fine adjustment.
Then I found the standard expansion chambers were not helping flow much even with TYGA cans on so I changed the chambers for Martin Johnson road chambers intended for a TZR250 2MA they are a straight fit (I did have to take the rubber mounts out of the standard chambers and fit them into the footrest bracket which has the holes already) and used my tyga cans.
The bike is a lot of fun and stupidly quick and fast for a 250.

Do you mean the TM28SS flat-slide carb, or the VM28 round-slide carb? I was under the impression that all of the TM28SS carbs used on DT-R models didn't have air screws... :(

Thanks & regards,
James

Flatslide... DT125 should have an Airscrew...TZR 250 Carbs (28 Flatslide) has none

Well how about that...?! For some reason, I had thought the DT125R TM28SS carb was the same basic body as the DT200R carb (i.e. no air screw) - thanks for the info PC!
