if i buy and fit the sugo cdi on gecko webpage.3XV Yamaha TZR250-SP RC Sugo CDI 1993-94.One will it work on a 92 dryclutch model and will it control my air solenoids and oil solenoids properly unlike from what i read a zeeltronic cdi would do if i fitted one of them.Thanks Neil.

No the sugo cdi's are model specific. The 3xv-80 will work on the R models and the 91 92 SP's.
The 3xv-9a will work in the 93 94 sp.

Also it will not work the electronic oil solenoid. When fitted if you wanted the oil pump. The common mod was to fit the older mechanical oil pump and throttle cable setup. From the 92 91.

There are R oil pumps and sp oil pumps. The sp oil pumps are supposed to flow 10% more oil vs the R pump. The pulley wheel on R pumps have no markings. Sp pumps will have 3xv-10 or 3xv-30 marked on the pulley wheel.

Unless you have the parts all ready or can get them easily. Why going with the zeetronic is more preferable these days.
