Nice!!

Here's a pic of one I found on eBay.  Not positive it's the correct part number for the 3XV tho?  The book shows 3XV-82501-00

3XVs don't have a parking light... :) Original ignition decals are just 'on', 'off', 'lock'.
Okay...just a "P" then Professor.   ;)  Must be for "Pass"  :o
If your not mixing gas, your not hauling ass!

I will try to post a "top down" picture of mine tonight to get the angle of the "IGNITION" right. That is if the goal is Concourse.

I wasn't bothered about "Concourse" accuracy, just wanted to tidy up the ign. switch without buying a replacement. The generic one I found on ebay only cost pennies & did the trick. Only 3XV "anoraks" know it's wrong.  ;)  If Snittle can knock some up though I might replace the replacement.  :)

Yan, it would be great if you could let Snittle measure up your genuine 3XV9 RS tank & bodywork over the winter so he could scan / make up graphic sets for '93 model bikes.  Not sure about the seat unit panels, but I know that the red "speed block" graphics on the lower fairing panels are painted on, so there shouldn't be too many graphics to make up. Are the black panels on your fairing lowers also painted on or are they "stickers" like the seat units' & top fairing cowls' black "number boards"?  Toying with the idea of restoring my bike to its rightful colour scheme.  ;)
There's always f@*kin' somethin' !!

Who wants an ignition switch in any case? Just dead weight... ;D. And in view of the fact that there are only two wires going to it, it's not like it's a theft deterrent... Toss it in the bin marked 'excess weight'

And if I see the C word again, I'll be coming round with a can of matt black in the dead of night...  ;D
Still Smoking...

Concourse, Concourse, Concourse.   :P  ;D  Enjoy the drive up to Fife.   ;)

I was toying with the idea of doing the "C" word but realised I am no way OCD enough. It was when I took the bike to http://www.devilsride.com/ to talk about respraying the tank he told me it had been resprayed before in not quite the right white, about how they had masked out the lettering and how he could take out the very slight dent in the tank. I had missed all of this.

I am happy to let Snittle trace up the bike so he can make 93RS decals. The bottom fairings look like stickers, like all the seat unit ones and the top fairing number board.  I can trace them out or if James is near Gloucester I can meet up with him.

My mate used to have a TS185 rat bike. It never got washed but used to get a fresh tin of matt black spray paint each spring. It was a total dog but loads of fun.

Pretty much have all that artwork.. Just trying to make both numberboards (front and rear) a good match, Got the shape spot on but fitting will be a pig!! Front speedblocks as mentioned are sprayed on but i did borrow some sp panels of gecko racing sometime back and they are stickers.. depends on the 'c' bit, i can make them look oem.. Saves doing another colour - but then again you may be spraying top side of tank red anyway,,, either way i can supply as a spray mask (for 'c') or as a decal (non 'c')

got the racing sport lettering/tzr sorted - all sizes spot on. Colour match is pretty good too, only a slight difference on the graphite lower section. Only other issue is the silky white,, Found an off white which looks pretty good. Depends on the customer really.

I'm based in chesterfield so glous is some time away  - shame as i've just driven back up from cornwall..

Ignition switch - was running short on time - ignition does need lining up properly to be exactamondo! More time required, If i had a top view photo that would help

snittle.

PM me with what you need me to do and I will do it. I don't really want one myself but I am happy to help the community.

Snittle, in 1993 Yamaha changed from "Silky white" to "Bluish white cocktail". The red shade stayed the same though. Hope this helps.
Can you please confirm that you have ( nearly ? ) completed a graphics set for '93 model 3XV's. If so, how much will it be for a set ?

Cheers, Wullie.  :)

Any updates on this snittle? I'm interested in a full decal kit for a 3xv5. Have you done this model yet or plan on doing one in the future? I'm interested in an ignition switch decal as well.

Thanks,
Max
