Testing how the CDI drives the YPVS.
Arduino board + my piece of software generates the RPM signal directly on the IC pin.

I feeds directly the IC through the bent pin 

Seems that YPVS moves only if RPM signal difference is over 250 rpm step

Will report later the results...

Will update some info soon regarding the ignition curve low rpm problem (with the 3MA-CDI)

When that problem is solved, I'll join you with the ypvs controlling bit.

Target is to get it working this year

I'm configuring the PC for start working again on the PIC firmware.

When done I'll try to modify the low rpm detection and firing for the 3MA.

currently Marcus indicates its legal within the P6 Proddy framework.
So the whole bike will possibly be sold as is once i have it running correctly.
Its about #5 on the to do list ! i'll make a decision then, but you have first refusal.

Some news...

I've break the bootloader for the iCP12 because a power issue due to the use of an old PC power supply which has a by condenser discharge on power off. I now put a switch on the 12V line to avoid this.

I've had a good support from PicCircuit to unlock the iCP12 and get it back and running. But each time I have this problem I need to exchange email for password to unlock their bootloader.

I've decided to make my own bootloader so I can not be dependent from them (even if their support is good).
My bootloader is not running so I can crash my iCP12 has much as I want.

I hope to sort the YPVS control this week-end.

Belief I have broken three iCP12's , and I don't have the skills to rescue them

I admire your programming/designing know how, I can only measure.

Have contacted the seller off my bought function generator, should be at my home around Thursday
Will try to measure in detail what my findings are (regarding the low rpm problem)

- switch on A -> red and green leds don't blink
- switch on A -> iCP12 not recognized by Windows
- switch on B -> iCP12 green led does not blink
- ...

I could try to rescue them if you post them or if you buy a iCP01 then I could post you the bootloader I've developed.

From memory I don't know . Its been to long to remember) I had ordered four iCP-12 so using my last one.
Will try to find out.

I'm 3D printing a test setup for my bench.

I planning to use a drone brushless motor to drive the shaft.
More this week-end if I could pickup a setup on one of school drone 

I've tested with strong magnet on my hand tool driller and pickup signal looks like it should.
