Jim Lomas Spannies - Jetting?

Hi all,

I'd be interested to hear how others with JL pipes have been jetting their 2MA / 1KT's

Looks like I am finally getting mine on the roa this week.. Just in time for the end of summer.

It's had a fully rebuilt and mildly tuned engine so I will be running it in. A the moment I am on the following settings:

Main: 290
Pilots: 27.5
Needle: second clip up

I know the 290s are on the rich side but whilst running it in thought it would be best. I am also running on premix...

Would be interested to hear what jet sizes and settings others are using once run in.

How does your airbox look?  As you're describing 290 as rich, I'm going to guess it is fitted, in which case 290 is closer to "Russian Oligarch" than "rich". If the funnel is in place, 230-240 would be plenty, if it's not 310-320 would be closer to the mark.

Thanks for the replies.. And yes they are very nice looking pipes 

I do have the standard TZR airbox with filter and rubber snorkel fitted.

I guess it won't hurt to run her rich for a bit then lean it down...

Any others with the same pipes I'd be interested to hear you set ups.
